2!!! It's been a long time since I've posted.

Hey my little man! It's been quite a while since I've posted in this blog. What's been happening you ask? Well to be frank, quite a bit.

Your old man has gotten himself a trade now, I've become a full time Jedi, so to speak. I now work with a company called Saberforge (saberforge.com) and I'm the head of a saber combat school up here where we've moved to. I'm calling this place Tython, but the people who live here call it Portland Oregon.

Your personality is bigger than you are, and growing as fast as you do. I hate having to leave you in the morning, but I love what I do. I've even made you your own lightsaber. Our family has been truly blessed by God, and we continue to grow stronger each day, just like you're growing stronger physically each day.

Right now you're favorite things to do with me include dueling, climbing on me, doing acrobatic tricks, going to Toys R Us, yelling "Kick It!!!" when I yell kick it. Watching The Clone Wars, and the Croods. Snuggling, and being crazy with Dad. You're personality mirrors mine quite a bit, which is good, you don't like seeing others fighting, and when you do you put the stop to that. The down side is you also have my temper, don't worry though we'll work on that together.

I love you so much and you're my little padawan, or partner in crime depending on what activity we're engaging in. Keep rocking kid you're awesome!

Here's us training together!

You've already got a great stance!

18 months!

Demitri, you're getting so big, it's been far too long since I've written words to you. Life has had me busy, too busy. It's not an excuse, not really. You should never be too busy for family. I've been away from you for a while now. Moved to Oregon, and I'll be coming down soon to get you and Mommy and then we're going to have a big move!!! I think you're going to love Oregon so much, you're a little outdoors man like your father.

It's hard to believe you're 18 months, there's so much I've missed in just the last few weeks I've been gone. It's crazy. I look forward to seeing you and your mother again. I will likely have a gift for you when you see me next. It will be something you like, and something that will likely stay by your side for years to come. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed making it for you.

My goal son is that you will always have a lamp unto your feet, and a light unto your path. In a way, this gift is a reminder of the light we have, and the light we must share with others. I will post more about it in my next entry.

For know simply know that I love you, and my thoughts are on you often.

Love, Your Jedi Dad.

Update: Almost 7 Months Old

Well son, you're almost seven months old... You're already doing so much, you have been pulling yourself up on anything you can and you crawl so fast. You now chase me up the stairs, and you've taken your first steps towards potty training (you're Mommy calls it elimination communication) I call it potty training. You're so smart, and you're my little buddy. We are already such a team, you love it when I read the Jedi Path to you, and you love my lightsabers.

Which brings me to my next point, you're ready for your first lightsaber. I can tell, you really want to pick up daddy's lightsaber, but it is too heavy for you to lift. You want to spar with daddy, but you have no lightsaber that is your size. So I will construct a tool, a weapon that you will remember forever. I will not only teach you how to wield this weapon, I will teach you the parallels of being a light in a dark world.

One day, when you are ready, you will construct your own lightsaber. However for now you need the hands of a seasoned Jedi Master to construct your weapon.

You are growing up so fast, I hope that I am able to give you the life that you deserve, I promise to work hard to give you everything you need (and probably a lot of things you want) over the years to come.

Know that I love you and your mother so very much. -Your Jedi Dad.

Our first movie together as a family... The Phantom Menace!

Kiddo, you were born on February 10th, which was the same day Star Wars The Phantom Menace came in theaters in 3D. So today we went to go see it, and it was a blast. You were so good throughout the movie, you watched like half of it, but you didn't like how loud the pod racers were when they started up.

We had the whole theater to ourselves which was really cool. Your mommy was able to feed you, and we were able to walk around with you in the theater.

Well your Mommy and I had a fun date, and you got to watch Star Wars.

You looked so good in your little Jedi robes today.

I love you kid, and we'll have many more days of fun as you get older. I love you so much -Your Jedi Dad.

Three Weeks Old!

Demitri, you turned three weeks old on Friday! You're getting so big, and I can tell you are going to be such a strong young man. With that strength comes a responsibility though, I will teach you how to use that strength to help people. Always be aware that if you fly into a rage, you will seldom land well.

I love you so much, you are such a cute kid, even when you're keeping me up all night so your mommy can get some sleep, I can't take my eyes off of you.

Well son I pray that you will continue to grow and I hope you will always know that your Jedi dad loves you.

Jedi Baby!

Starting you out early with your own lightsaber, don't worry I make sure you have a lot of supervision so you don't try to chew on the blade! You are already so strong, and so inquisitive about this new world around you. I love you, and I will teach you all sorts of cool things when you're older. Right now just work on feeding correctly, your Mother will thank you.

Finished Star Wars Mobile!

I finished my youngling's mobile today; I finally had a few minutes to work on it today, and I got the fishing line I needed. Fidgeting with the line to get the right angles to make the ship's appear to fly when it spins... My first attempt was good, but when I cranked the wheel, the ships flew backwards! That was unacceptable for you Demitri. So I quickly flipped them around, and got them situated properly and BAM! Your mobile was done, and the best thing about it is, once you're older you can still use them as toys!

Here's a picture of you sleeping in your own little galaxy! (Star Wars blanket was made by your Mommy!
